A special episode: Anna chats with Jenny Colvin, host of Reading Envy, one of our favourite bookish podcasts.
Our book of the week is An American Sunrise by Joy Harjo, Poet Laureate of the United States. Joy Harjo has won multiple awards for her poetry telling First Nation stories and is also an acclaimed musician. Her memoir Crazy Brave won the American Book Award. Harjo goes back to the lands of her Mvskoke Creek people in An American Sunrise. It's a slim book and the poems are accessible, but it's full of depth and richness. A wonderful read, perfect for National Poetry Month.
We also chat about Jenny's read-along of Ducks, Newburyport.
Coming up: The Girl Who Wrote Loneliness by Kyung-sook Shin translated by Ha-yun Jung and our isolation reading recommendations.
