Our book of the week is The Glass Hotel by Emily St John Mandel. This is the follow-up to her hugely successful, multi-award winning pandemic novel Station Eleven. Inspired by the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme, it centres on the fraudster's wife Vincent, who goes missing on a container ship. A New York Times, Newsweek and USA Today Most Anticipated Book of 2020, it's been described as 'a masterpiece' (NPR) and 'your perfect survival bunker read' (The Washington Post).
