Anna and Annie chat with Rick Morton about his excellent book One Hundred Years of Dirt.
A memoir about growing up poor in a small town in Queensland, it also tells a broader picture of social issues facing many Australians. Described as 'terrific' by Tim Winton, 'magnificent' by Christos Tsiolkas and a book 'every Australian should read' (Stephen Romei), we loved this.
Rick recommends The Arsonist by Chloe Hooper and the podcasts Who The Hell is Hamish and The Dropout.
Coming up: Anna and Amanda interview Preti Taneja about We That Are Young, and we chat with Oyinkan Braithwaite about My Sister The Serial Killer.
